Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26th annually, people in countries around the world are invited to wear purple and host events in support of epilepsy awareness. Cassidy Megan created the idea of Purple Day in 2008, motivated by her own struggles with epilepsy. Cassidy's goal is to get people talking about epilepsy in an effort to dispel myths and inform those with seizures that they are not alone (http://www.purpleday.org/aboutus
). IHM will join this movement on Tues. Mar. 26th . Students will be invited to wear purple (including jeans) for a suggested donation of $2.00. Thank you to the Thompson family's generosity, the one class which raises the most money in the school will be awarded a pizza party.
